Uber Hip art rockers Everything Everything have given a little something back to those fans that couldn’t make it to their gig last week. With help from LoveLive productions, theirs was the first gig to be streamed live to iPads and iPhones via a free, specially designed app.

With Lady Gaga hitting over a billion views on YouTube, we are told two things:

1) music videos online are big news and

2) that Gaga’s videos are nuts.

When I first came across the news that Gaga had been the first artist to break the billion views mark, the article was peppered with twittering’s from an industry expert about how views don’t equal sales. MTV used to have a young upstart snapping at its heels; now it has a fully grown company creeping up behind it! Vevo harnesses the combined powers of Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Abu Dhabi Media and EMI, and in September it was the number 5 video site in the US.

Nearly 34 billion videos are viewed online every month, cementing the theory that music videos have moved to a new digital home and left TV behind.
